Stage 4 Race Report - The Three Musketeers Sets the Stage for the Queen Stage
The 2026 SISU Tour reached its halfway point with Stage 4 – The Three Musketeers, another thrilling day of racing that tested endurance, tactical awareness and teamwork across every grade.
The French roads delivered exactly what riders expected—rolling terrain, relentless changes in pace and constant attacks that ensured there was little opportunity to recover. Every climb became a launch pad, every descent an opportunity to regain ground, and every finish line another chance to strengthen a general classification campaign.
With just three stages remaining, every second is becoming increasingly valuable. Riders chasing the Keltainen jersey know there is little room for error, while the Sprintteri and Mountain Goat classifications continue to generate fierce competition and plenty of friendly banter throughout the SISU Discord community.
Keltainen Jersey Leaders
The general classification battle is becoming one of the closest in SISU Tour history. Across the Open and Women's competitions, leaders are beginning to emerge, but no jersey is secure.
Teams continue to play a decisive role, sacrificing individual ambitions to protect yellow jerseys, launch attacks and guide teammates safely through the ever-changing dynamics of the Tour.
The Open and Women's Team Classifications remain fiercely contested, highlighting the remarkable depth of clubs from around the world. Every rider who crosses the finish line continues to contribute to their team's overall ambitions.
Team Classifications
The Team Classification remains one of the closest contests in SISU Tour history, with 288 teams competing for the ultimate team prize.
Sprintteri & Vuorikauris Classifications
Stage 4 offered more opportunities for riders chasing the blue Sprintteri jersey, with every intermediate sprint contested at full gas.
The Mountain Goat Classification also continued to evolve, but everyone knows the biggest day for the polka-dot jersey is still to come.
Looking Ahead – STAGE 5
Saturday 18 - Sunday 19 July
The Queen Stage awaits.
Road to Sky is the defining challenge of the 2026 SISU Tour and one of Zwift's most iconic routes. The stage culminates with the legendary climb up Alpe du Zwift, where gradients regularly exceed 10% and every kilometre becomes a battle between body and mind.
For the general classification contenders, this is the stage they have been preparing for since the Tour began. Time gaps measured in seconds could become minutes, and dreams of wearing the Keltainen jersey may be realised—or shattered—on the famous 21 hairpins.
The stage is equally significant for the Mountain Goat Classification, with the longest and most demanding climb of the Tour offering riders a golden opportunity to take control of the Vuorikauris jersey.
Preparation will be critical:
Pace yourself from the base of the climb.
Resist the temptation to follow every early attack.
Stay seated where possible and ride to your own power.
Save something for the final kilometres—the steepest ramps often come when the legs are already screaming.
The Queen Stage is where legends are made.
Who will conquer the mountain?
Who will emerge wearing yellow?
We'll find out on Stage 5 – Road to Sky.
Let's go racing!
