Stage 7 Preview: The Final Climb to Glory

It all comes down to this.

The inaugural SISU Punainen reaches its grand finale on Watopia's legendary Mountain Route, where every jersey remains on the line. For seven stages, riders have chased the dream of wearing red. Now, one final test awaits—a route that demands endurance, climbing strength and the determination to leave absolutely nothing behind.

Stage 7 features one final sprint and two iconic climbing segments:

  • Sprint Segment: Sprint Forward

  • KQOM Segments: Epic KOM Forward and Radio Tower Forward

This is the ultimate challenge. The Sprint Forward offers one last opportunity for riders to improve their Sprintteristanding before the race turns towards the mountains. The legendary Epic KOM will begin to split the contenders, before the brutal Radio Tower climb delivers the final examination of the inaugural tour. There will be nowhere left to hide, and no tomorrow to save your legs.

Whether you're fighting for the Punainen Jersey, chasing the Vuorikauris (Mountain Goat) title, defending the Sprintteri Jersey, or leading your Johtaja age category, every second will matter.

Route Preview

Mountain Route is one of Watopia's most celebrated climbing routes and the perfect finale for the inaugural SISU Punainen. Riders will tackle the full Epic KOM Forward before turning onto the infamous Radio Tower ascent—a climb that has become one of Zwift's most iconic challenges.

The Epic KOM rewards riders who can settle into a strong, sustainable rhythm, while the Radio Tower is an entirely different challenge. Short, steep and unforgiving, it demands explosive power and immense mental toughness. After cresting the summit, riders still need to remain focused on the fast descent and run to the finish.

This is a stage built for climbers, but also for riders who refuse to give up.

Coaching Tips

  • Race for your jersey. Know what you're protecting—or chasing. Every decision should reflect your classification goal.

  • Be patient early. Don't waste energy before the mountains. The decisive moments will come on the Epic KOM and Radio Tower.

  • Pace the Epic KOM. Ride at a sustainable effort and avoid following attacks you can't maintain.

  • Save something for the Radio Tower. The steep gradients will punish anyone who reaches the climb already exhausted.

  • Fight until the finish. The tour isn't over until you cross the line. Every second could decide a podium, a jersey or an age-category victory.

What to Watch

This is the stage where champions are crowned.

Can the rider in Punainen defend the lead? Will the climbers claim the Vuorikauris Jersey on the final ascent? Can a sprinter hold onto the Sprintteri Jersey, or will one last effort change the standings? And across every age category, the battle for the Johtaja Jersey promises to go right to the finish.

No matter where you sit in the standings, Stage 7 is an opportunity to finish the inaugural SISU Punainen with pride. One final climb. One final descent. One final chance to write your name into SISU Racing history.
