SISU Worlds: Road Race Time — The Rainbow Jerseys Are Calling 🌈

The clock has stopped, the iTT World Champions have been crowned, and now the 2026 SISU World Championshipsturn their attention to a very different challenge.

It’s Road Race weekend.

On 26–27 September, riders from across the SISU Racing community will line up on Bambino Fondo in Watopia, swapping the solitude of the individual time trial for the tactics, positioning and unpredictability of racing shoulder-to-shoulder in the bunch.

From Race of Truth to Race Craft

Last weekend’s iTT was beautifully simple: rider versus clock. Find your pace, hold the watts and empty the tank.

The Road Race changes everything.

Drafting matters. Position matters. Knowing when not to spend watts can be just as important as knowing when to attack. Riders will need to watch the moves around them, anticipate changes in pace and make split-second decisions about which wheels to follow.

And unlike an iTT, your competitors are right there with you.

Expect attacks. Expect regrouping. Expect someone to launch when everyone else thinks it is far too early. And, because this is SISU Racing, expect plenty of chatter before and after the suffering.

🌈 Rainbow Jerseys on the Line

The prize is simple: become a SISU World Champion.

World Championship titles will be contested across the grades, giving riders throughout our community the opportunity to race for the rainbow jersey.

The iTT produced some fantastic performances and our first World Champions of Montréal 2026. Now the road racers get their opportunity to write their names into SISU history.

For some riders, the ambition will be gold. For others, it might be making the front group, beating a mate, surviving one more climb with the bunch or simply representing their country and enjoying one of the most colourful weekends on the SISU calendar.

All of those are worth racing for.

Bambino Fondo Awaits

Bambino Fondo, Watopia provides a very different test from the flat-out effort of the opening championship weekend.

This is a race where patience could pay.

Stay sheltered when you can. Avoid wasting energy unnecessarily. Be prepared for accelerations at the obvious—and not-so-obvious—moments. Most importantly, arrive at the decisive part of the race with something left in the legs.

The strongest rider doesn't automatically get the rainbow jersey. Race craft might have something to say about that.

The Road Race is the second chapter of our three-part World Championships:

Individual Time Trial — 19–20 September
Road Race — 26–27 September
Gravel — 10–11 October, Handful of Gravel, Watopia × 5 laps

From the Race of Truth, to bunch racing, and then onto the gravel, Montréal 2026 is designed to find champions across three very different disciplines.

This weekend, though, it's all about the road.

Get the kit ready. Pick your country. Watch the wheels. Save those watts.
