Stage 6 Race Report - Gentil 8 Sets Up a Grand Finale in Paris

The penultimate stage of the 2026 SISU Tour delivered exactly what Grand Tours are famous for an Individual Time Trial where every second mattered.

On the rolling roads of Gentil 8, there was nowhere to hide. No teammates to shelter behind, no wheels to follow and no tactical games. Just riders, their pacing strategy and the clock.

For some, Stage 6 was an opportunity to strengthen their grip on the coveted Keltainen Jersey. For others, it was a final chance to claw back valuable time before the Tour reaches its conclusion.

After six stages of racing, the overall standings have taken shape, but the race is far from over. The time gaps heading into the final stage mean every attack, every sprint and every second could prove decisive in determining the overall winners.

Stage 6 also highlighted the incredible depth of competition throughout the Tour. Across every grade in both the Open and Women's events, riders produced outstanding performances to keep the battle alive right to the final weekend.

Team Classifications

The Team Classification remains one of the closest contests in SISU Tour history, with 348 teams competing for the ultimate team prize.

Sprintteri & Vuorikauris Classifications

Road to Sky also marked the conclusion of the 2026 SISU Tour's Mountain Goat Classification. After four stages of climbing segments across Stages 2, 3, 4 and the decisive Queen Stage, the Vuorikauris Jersey winners have now been determined. The final ascent rewarded the Tour's strongest climbers - congratulations!

Looking Ahead – STAGE 7

Saturday 25 - Sunday 26 July

The 2026 SISU Tour now heads to its spectacular finale with five laps of the Champs-Élysées.

The final stage is more than a celebration — it is a race that will decide the remaining classifications.

The General Classification remains on the line, while the Sprintteri Jersey will be decided by riders' fastest time through the sprint segment on the Champs-Élysées. Whether a rider passes through the segment once or five times, only their quickest effort will count, ensuring an exciting battle for the Tour's fastest finishers.

With the Mountain Goat Classification already decided after the Queen Stage on Road to Sky, attention now turns to the final yellow jerseys, sprint honours, Johtaja age-category jerseys and Team Classification.
