Stage 2: Leg-Breakers Deliver Drama as New Jerseys Come to Life

The 2026 SISU Tour rolled into the French countryside for Stage 2, and Casse-Pattes literally translated as leg-breaker lived up to its name.

The route rewarded riders who could repeatedly surge over short climbs, recover quickly, and make smart tactical decisions. There was little opportunity to settle into a rhythm, with every rise and descent demanding concentration. Positioning was critical, while those with explosive climbing legs found opportunities to create decisive gaps. It was a stage that tested resilience as much as raw power.

1084 riders with a Zwiftpower profile completed Stage 2, taking overall Tour participation to 2001 riders from 79 countries. It was also fantastic to see 92 women on tour, with exciting battles now emerging across every major classification.

A big congratulations to the 25 riders who upgraded after Stage 1!

Keltainen Jersey Leaders

Congratulations to our Stage 2 winners and to Guilherme Pretto 🇧🇷 (SISU Racing), Chrissie Horak 🇬🇧 (ROC) and Covi Powell 🇲🇽 (Coalition) who successfully defended the Keltainen (Yellow) Jersey.

The Tour has already begun to tell its story, with riders taking their first opportunities to move into the overall lead while others demonstrated remarkable consistency by holding onto yellow.

It is especially exciting to see four riders pull on the Keltainen Jersey for the first time in the Open Classification, while three women earned their first opportunity to wear cycling's most iconic colour in the Women's Tour.

With five stages still to come, every second continues to matter.

Team Classifications

The SISU Tour features two distinct Team Classifications.

The Open Team Classification is determined by the combined times of each team's fastest three riders, regardless of gender, rewarding strength and depth across an entire squad.

Alongside this sits the Women's Team Classification, based on the combined times of each team's fastest three female riders, celebrating the strength and growing depth of women's racing within SISU Racing.

Congratulations to the teams that retained the yellow jerseys - that isn’t an east feat!

It has also been fantastic to feel the excitement from teams wearing the yellow team jersey for the first time this Tour. Those milestone moments are what make the SISU Tour so special.

With remarkable depth throughout the field, the battle for team honours is already shaping up to be one of the closest in SISU Tour history.

Sprintteri & Vuorikauris Classifications

Stage 2 also marked the beginning of two brand-new battles.

The Sprintteri and Vuorikauris (Mountain Goat) classifications burst into life, and the excitement surrounding both jerseys has been impossible to miss. The friendly banter and tactical discussions throughout the SISU Discord have added another layer of excitement to the Tour.

Congratulations to every rider who raced aggressively and to the first riders to pull on the vibrant Sprintteri and Mountain Goat jerseys.

The Sprint Classification promises to tighten dramatically during Stage 3, while the Mountain Goat competition is likely to explode on Stage 5 when the peloton tackles the legendary Road to Sky.

Looking Ahead – STAGE 3

Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 July

Stage 3 promises to be one of the most tactical races of the Tour.

Knights of the Roundabout is a stage of chaos and courage. Constant changes of direction, repeated accelerations and relentless positioning battles reward riders who think several moves ahead. Success will come to those who can stay near the front, conserve energy and seize opportunities at precisely the right moment.
