SISU Pinkki - AN EPIC FIRST GRAND TOUR OF 2025!
The 2025 Grand Tour season kicked off with a bang as SISU Pinkki, inspired by the Giro, has wrapped up, and what a phenomenal success it was! A massive 1,500 participants from over 60 countries clipped in and battled it out across seven demanding stages, adding a vibrant splash of pink to their pain caves.
From thrilling breakaways to heroic solo efforts, SISU Pinkki delivered on its promise of Grand Tour excitement. A huge congratulations to every single rider who took on the challenge. We saw incredible performances throughout, with special recognition going to our podium finishers, those who secured a top 10 spot in their respective grades, the dedicated riders who conquered all seven stages, and the true endurance heroes who toiled for over 12 hours in the saddle.
How the Pink Jersey Was Won: Individual and Team GC
In the true spirit of Grand Tour racing, the General Classification (GC) for both individual riders and teams was a pure test of endurance and consistency. With no time bonuses on offer, the coveted pink honours were determined solely by the cumulative time taken to complete all seven stages. Over 250km of riding and 2800 metres of climbing were needed to get to the monumental mountain top finish banner on Watopia Epic KOM.
For the hotly contested teams category, it was the fastest three riders in each stage whose times contributed to the overall standings.
A Look Back at the Stages:
The SISU Pinkki threw a variety of challenges at our riders:
Stage 1: The Big Ring - Riders kicked things off on Watopia's longest flat route, stretching out over 48.9 km (30.4 miles) with an elevation gain of 269m (883โ). A true test of staying power in the big ring!
Stage 2: Bologna "Time Trial Lap" - A sharp, intense replica of the Giro dโItalia prologue TT, this 8 km (5.0 miles) stage packed a punch with 236m (774โ) of climbing.
Stage 3: Twists and Turns - This 36.5 km (22.7 miles) stage offered a classic profile: start flat, climb, descend, and end flat. With 460m (1,509โ) of elevation, it was a strategic battleground.
Stage 4: Tair Dringfa Fechan - "Three Little Climbs" in Welsh tested riders over 31.5 km (19.6 miles) and 349m (1,145โ) of elevation, culminating at the mighty Titans Reverse segment.
Stage 5: Spiral Into the Volcano - A longer, predominantly flat 55.8 km (34.7 miles) route with a sting in the tail โ a spiral climb up the volcano, accumulating 336m (1,102โ) of elevation.
Stage 6: Serpentine 8 - Riders navigated the twisty Mayan Bridge and Jungle Circuit, covering all roads in both directions over 19.4 km (12.1 miles) with 206m (676โ) of climbing.
Stage 7: ZG25 Queen - The grand finale and a true Queen stage! Released for Zwift Games [Current Year], this epic 44.6 km (27.7 miles) route featured a challenging 896m (2,940โ) of elevation, culminating in a mountain top finish worthy of any Grand Tour.
